About Pay4Top

Pay4Top is not a normal ad slot — it’s an open auction. There’s exactly one leaderboard, and your position on it is determined by one number: how much you’ve paid, in total, ever. No engagement score, no algorithmic boost, no editorial review deciding who “deserves” the top spot.

Why not a normal ad slot?

A normal sponsored placement is opaque — you don’t know what the current occupant paid, or what it would take to replace them. Here, the price to be #1 is just whatever the current #1 has paid, in total, plus whatever you’re willing to add on top. It’s public, it’s live, and it can change the moment someone outbids you.

How rank works

Every listing has a running total of everything ever paid toward it. The board sorts strictly by that total, descending. Submit the same link again with a new payment and it tops up the existing listing rather than creating a duplicate — your spend is cumulative.

The reclaim discount

If your listing has ever held #1 and someone since outbid you, you don’t have to match their entire total from zero to get it back — you only need to cover the gap between your total and theirs, plus a small surcharge. See the Rules page for the exact formula.

Nothing here is organic

We label every ranking as pay-to-rank, on every listing, not just on this page. Nobody should mistake this board for a curated “best of” list — it’s a leaderboard for spend, full stop.
